Well actually it's not...and I'm doing it all wrong.
BUT I'm doing it.
I'm exploring my textile arts, discovered I love bags, started an Arts Biz and just started the 30 Day Challenge.. more details will follow
So I made a committment
I will explore all the art ideas I've always had.. and put them into a bag, well that is make a bag with them.
I will set up an exhibition in July 2009 ( because that's really when I started). Art director of gallery said Sept is best time..so that's now when it is.
I will set up a journal and blog to cover the years work... yeah to blogs start today
I will get an online something?
I will sell bags...will I wont I, has become an issue..again more details later.
In business I've been told that you need to be organised or at least have everything done properly otherwise you'll scare the customers away.....
Well all I can say is "Be Afraid.. Be Very Afraid" because I'm jumping into this so that I can learn, things may not be done well, things may not be organised, things may change and I'm hoping that the end result will be fine.
And if not then I can always start all over again, change my name and move on haha.

- This blog started with my artsbiz course saying ""be out there"" I don't know what I'm doing so decided to blog as I got started and learnt. THAT was in Aug 2008. Now in Sept 09, to date I had been too busy to learn anymore as I was working very hard on producing 12 large pieces of art for my first solo exhibition. I'm a Textile and Mixed Media Artist creating art in a light-filled studio on the out-skirts of Ngaruawahia in the Waikato, NZ. I'm married to John and have a 17yld daughter, Rachel. I've always loved art and craft but have only just recently started creating my own pieces of art. I started with quilting but found it hard to follow a pattern without wanting to add my own variations. So I start with fabric and then add anything else that will finish a piece; paint, dye, fibre, glue, beads, buttons and wire. No rules, if it works for me I use it. The current trend of recycling allowes me to follow my love of creating with pre-loved items such as material, clothing and jewellery. These are hidden treasures and I enjoy using various techniques to give them new life as art.
